Bernedoodle

The Bernedoodle is a mix between an Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Bernedoodles are loyal and very loving. Bernedoodles have a low to medium energy level, they are happiest sitting on the couch with you enjoying a good movie.

-COAT:

 

    F1 Bernedoodles (Bernese Mountain Dog X Poodle)

      *F1 Bernedoodles tend to have straight to wavy coats with very little shedding

 

   F1B Bernedoodle (Bernedoodle X Poodle) 

      * F1B Bernedoodles tend to have a wavy to curly coat and are less likely to shed making it a better choice for those with allergies.

   The Bernedoodle coat does require frequent brushing. Bernedoodles can be shaved short, trimmed, or left with a full coat.

-APPEARANCE:

   Bernedoodles come in a variety of colors. We breed tricolor, parti and possible bicolor.  

​

-SIZE:

​

   We currently breed small standard Bernedoodles which generally weigh between 50-60 lbs. Females are smaller than males.

​

-TEMPERMENT:

​

   Bernedoodles make amazing family pets, they do well with children and other animals. They love their families and enjoy spending time with them, whether camping, swimming or just hanging out at home you can be sure your Bernedoodle will be right beside you.

-TRAINING:

​

   Bernedoodles are very smart and can learn quickly, consistency and patience should be used.   You should start training your Bernedoodle as soon as you bring him/her home. It is important to crate train your puppy, it will help with house training and chewing that might occur.

​

-ACTIVITY:

​

   Bernedoodles require light exercise, walking daily works great. Bernedoodles are great for families who want a dog who is not very active and is more laid back. Bernedoodles make great nannies and will watch over kids as they play in the yard. Bernedoodles do enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, tug-of-war and relaxing by your side.
